Hammered Copper Jar – Early 18th Century – Mise De Chaland d'Aoste
Superb hammered copper jar with a stamped brass frieze decoration, bearing the inscriptions "Mise de Chaland" and "d'Aoste". Careful work with riveted assembly and regular hammering, typical of mountain craftsmanship from the beginning of the 18th century, probably from the Alpine region (Savoie - Aosta Valley). Beautiful patina of use, warm color mixing golden and brown tones, with traces of green oxidation on the inside attesting to its antiquity. Rare piece due to its dimensions and its state of conservation, ideal for collection or charming decoration. Height: 42 cm - Belly diameter: 27 cm - Base diameter: 18 cm Free shipping
