Crystal Partridge, Lalique, 20th Century
Standing partridge in molded-pressed and partially satin-finished crystal. The model was created by René Lalique (1860-1945) on January 5, 1939, then continued in 1947 under no. 1341 and was taken up again after 1951 under no. 11-610 (ref. Marcilhac 1235 page 494).. The rendering of the anatomy and plumage of the bird is of great finesse and delicate realism.
