Porcelain Vase Mounted As A Lamp, China, Qianlong Period, 18th Century
Superb Chinese porcelain vase for export, quadrilobed baluster shape with flattened body, palette called Mandarin. The white background, textured “chicken skin”, is enhanced with scrolls and plant elements in pink, purple and orange tones. It is decorated with four medallions representing animated scenes of characters in rich colors. A metal mount has been added to the neck to transform the vase into a lamp.
Small chip on the foot.
