Apollo 11 Silver Medal J.w. Benson Ltd 1969 Boxed Numbered 260 Of 500 Birmingham

Offered is a rare Apollo 11 commemorative sterling silver medallion, issued in 1969 by J.W. Benson Ltd, London, and struck by Arthur Fenwick Ltd, Birmingham. This is number 260 of a limited edition of 500, celebrating the first manned moon landing. Obverse depicts the lunar module eagle, reverse shows the names Armstrong, Aldrin, and Collins, and the phrase “We came in peace for all mankind.” Clearly hallmarked (Birmingham 1969), 51.2 mm diameter, 4.47 mm thick, weighs 71.86 grams. Includes original fitted case and numbered certificate. Condition excellent, untouched patina, no cleaning or restoration. Seldom found complete.
