Infantry officer's sabre, Consulate period - 1st Empire, late 18th early 19th century. Gilt bronze mount with melon-shaped cap with short skirt. Curved quillon with ball end and shuttle earpiece. Joint arc with median decoration of rings and pearl elongated in the middle of the right part which joins the crosspiece at a right angle. Checkered ebony knuckle. Curved blade with flat back with 1 edge and pointed counter edge of 13 cm, blued and gilded with trophy and floral motifs at the third. Leather scabbard sewn with 2 brass fittings, long chappe and button chappe. Leather cut at the height of the chappe.
