Dimensions: Frame: 80 x 75 cm Subject: 62 x 57 cm Auguste De Roisin (1889-1980), a Belgian soldier engaged on the Eastern Front during the First World War, lived in Russia until the Revolution. Predilection for landscapes, city views, figures, compositions and interiors. His work mixes realism and impressionism. Traces of Slavic mysticism can also be found. He notably exhibited at the National Association of Painters and Sculptors of Belgium in Brussels in 1939.
