Description
The piece opens at the bust, revealing an interior carved in bas-relief, illustrating a military scene: horsemen, soldiers, cannons and complex narrative elements. Each interior door also features a small carved scene.
The detailed work and the depth of the engraving testify to remarkable know-how.
