JAPAN - Edo period (1603-1868). KABUTO in metal decorated with white horsehair simulating hair. SHIKORO (neck cover) with three degrees in textured brown lacquered metal and green, orange and plum silk braid. FUKIGAESHI (small wings) in metal covered with deerskin embossed with geometric patterns, decorated with the mon of the IMAGAWA clan and orange and white silk. MABI SA SHI (visor) in metal covered with embossed deerskin. MAETATE in metal representing the mon of the KYOGOKU clan, it overhangs two horns in cut metal on a chiseled and gilded copper base decorated with stylized chrysanthemums (one flower missing).
