Monstrance Reliquary In Copper - Circa 1500
Made of gilded copper, our reliquary comes from the prestigious Reinhold Hofstatter collection, dispersed in 2016. A quality work from the end of the 15th or beginning of the 16th century.
Resting on an ornate and multi-lobed foot with beading, a very finely engraved stem decorated with a large olive, receives a hexagonal niche with its old glasses.
It is topped with a ribbed dome surmounted by a Latin cross.
Dimensions in height of 31.5 cm by 14 cm wide at the foot.
A piece for collectors.
