Base and capital for double columns in Burgundy limestone. From the 12th century, transition from Romanesque and Gothic art, sobriety characteristic of the Cistercian style. Coming from the abbey of Citeaux in Côte d'Or (Burgundy) near the town of Nuits Saint Georges. These two architectural elements were positioned in one of the cloisters of the abbey Notre Dame de Citeaux, a large part of which was demolished during the Revolution!
