Superb rectangular gilt bronze casket, richly decorated with fine scrollwork and foliage engraved on all sides. The lid is adorned with a dark brown patinated relief plaque depicting a lively festive scene. The interior is lined with antique velvet (with traces of use). Refined French work, circa 1860–1880, typical of the Napoleon III style. Dimensions: 14.5 × 9.5 × 5.5 cm Condition: very good overall condition, slight interior wear, beautiful original patina.
