"Antique Asian Wooden Tray With Very Fine Mother-of-pearl Inlay – 19th Century"
Superb antique tray resting on a base, made of dark wood and richly decorated with a very fine iridescent mother-of-pearl inlay. The sides feature large mother-of-pearl plaques finely engraved with lively landscape scenes, with trees, pavilions and figures, while the belt and feet are adorned with stylized flowers, butterflies and geometric motifs. The interior of the tray is also decorated with a delicate inlaid scene, representing a lively landscape with figures and vegetation. This refined work, probably of Asian origin (China, Korea or Vietnam), dates from the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century. Decorative and collector's piece, which can be used as a tray or display, typical of Far Eastern craftsmanship. The contrast between the warm wood and the colorful reflections of the mother-of-pearl gives it a unique charm. Dimensions: 30 × 18 × 10 cm
