Elegant antique tray or stand in dark wood, finely decorated with mother-of-pearl inlays forming floral and geometric patterns. The sides feature refined ornaments of flowers, butterflies and foliage, framed by geometric friezes typical of Asian art. The mother-of-pearl marquetry work, very precise and delicate, highlights the warmth of the wood and the iridescent play of reflections. This piece is probably of Asian origin (China, Korea or Vietnam), and dates from the late 19th - early 20th century.
