A refined rectangular box in solid silver, beautifully repoussé and chased, featuring a vivid naturalistic scene: three pheasants in high relief amidst wheat, branches, and wildflowers. The edges are bordered with a continuous floral frieze.
The interior is smooth and gilt, while the underside bears a hallmark (identifiable upon close inspection). Likely made in the Austro-Hungarian or German area between the late 19th and early 20th century.
Elegant and discreet, it may have served as a snuff box, pill box or card case.
