"Clock With Gilded Bronze Caryatids From The Empire Period"
Pendulum in chased and gilded bronze with matt mercury and burnished with agate. It is composed of a rectangular base resting on 4 round feet receiving 2 caryatids supporting a vaulted entablature decorated with pearl and water leaf. The entablature is surmounted by an eagle with outstretched wings. Round chiseled and gilded pendulum decorated with eagles and eaglets. Large dial in white enamel with Roman numerals signed Labaute Cadet in Nancy in very good condition. Note a line of color due to traces of enamel on the dial before firing. Movement with an autonomy of 8 days, striking the hours and half-hours. The suspension is wire. The movement was revised on June 18, 2025. Original mercury gilding, wear on the base.
