Object description :

"Giltwood Center Table, Regency Period"

Gilded wood center table, carved on its four sides, with shell and acanthus leaves in its centers, on a background of crosspieces.

On either side on the longest sides are presented a fine foliage bouquet. It rests on four arched legs, very harmoniously carved with palmettes and floral garlands framed on either side with a scrolling shell.

Gilded wood clogs with a similar decoration of shell, scroll and floral bouquet.

This center table supports a red marble top from Flanders, molded with a corbin beak.

Very beautiful work from the Regency period in its original gilding, whose very finely worked sculptures are of a high quality.
