"View Of Jerusalem, Watercolor By Nathan Gutman"
Nathan Gutman was a student at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts from 1929 to 1933. After a brief stay in the USSR during which he exhibited at the Museum of the Revolution in Minsk, he returned to Warsaw in 1945 and then emigrated to Paris. It is noted that "he readily depicts familiar Jewish scenes and festivals" and that he is "very influenced by Emmanuel Mané-Katz." The work is signed lower right: N Gutman.
