Gérard Pipart is a famous French designer who, after the house of Chloé, worked from 1963 and after the departure of Jules François Crahay, at the destiny of the House of Nina Ricci for 35 years. Gérard Pipart thus marked the style of this Parisian luxury house by combining beautiful fabrics, romantic draperies and sense of cut creating a graceful, sophisticated and natural femininity. The Nina Ricci haute boutique label remained one of the Parisian musts of luxury ready-to-wear during the 1980s-1990s. In 1987, Gérard Pipart received the 22nd Dé d'Or de la haute couture for his Spring/Summer collection, thus crowning his career as a couturier.
