Lovely Louis XIII period turned walnut game table.
The turned wooden base is X-shaped with an original spinning top in the center.
The double-sided top is simply placed on the base, wedged by a slight edge between the central panel and its frame.
A drawer on the main face with original openwork keyhole and iron handle.
Fully assembly by dowels for the top and the base.
Condition
Very good condition.
Usual restorations, notably for the interior drawer slide system and the bottom of the drawer
Traces of green color on one of the sides of the top certainly corresponding to an old, missing leather which would have rubbed off on the wood. On this side, there is also a hollow in the top linked to a burnt part (candlestick?)
Very nice presence for this small side and ceremonial table, whose very fine and elegant base and a top with a very beautiful patina on its 2 sides allow various uses for a refined decoration
