Haute Epoque

Flanders XVe s

Very large cast and turned brass / bronze candlestick or torch (height 29.5cm),
composed of a large circular base (diameter 17cm) with an oblique rim, and raised in the hollow with a simple line, raising the candlestick from the table where it was placed.

The turned barrel has several rings or rings (6) and balusters (2)

The barrel opens right through to 2 rectangular lights, for extracting the melted wax

Very beautiful large model !

Good condition, the junction of the base and the barrel is original, and very nice general patina (not polished !).
Note a micro slot of a few mm on the edge raising the base (please check last photo)
