The blade of the weapon consists of a quadrangular thrust, measuring about 25 cm. At the base of the thrust, there is on one side a crescent-shaped cutting edge, pierced with 6 holes and on the opposite side, there is a hook called "bec de corbin", curved towards the shaft and pierced with 2 holes.
The blade continues with splints, first wide then narrower. These splints are the original ones, which is rare, even if one of the splints seems to show the trace of an old, barely visible repair. The splints are 32 cm long. The iron of this halberd is fixed to the shaft by forged nails. Total length of the metal part = 63 cm. Total length of the weapon with the cut shaft 105 cm.
The shaft is a modern replacement, it is cut 74 cm from the edge of the socket, and allows for a pleasant presentation.
A longer wooden stock would be very easy to make if desired, but I preferred to leave the weaponin its uncovered state to facilitate shipping.
