All-steel Knife, Chiseled Blade, 19th Century
This knife is made entirely of steel, the handle and the blade forming a single piece. It dates from the second half of the 19th century, and probably has a Germanic origin, according to the particular shape of the heel of the blade near the handle, which is very similar to the typical profile of the blades of German "knickers" knives.
BLADE: it is single-edged, the back and the edge curve gradually to form the point The back of the blade is chiseled, and the decoration continues on the lateral faces of the blade.
Blade length = 17.4 cm, width near the heel 2.6 cm, thickness near the heel 2.5 mm
HILT : it has 4 flattened faces, and has a vegetal etching decoration.
