"Art Deco Sycamore Coffee Table, Belgium, Circa 1935, Maison Vanderborght Frères "
Here is an elegant Art Deco style coffee table. It is a Belgian work, representative of the neoclassical movement. This very light model was sold by the Maison Vanderborght Frères in Brussels. It is made of polished sycamore maple. It consists of a rectangular top bordered by a band worked in ogee resting on four torch-shaped legs connected to each other by a double curved spacer. This piece of furniture evokes a certain idea of the elegance, the refinement of this flamboyant period between the two wars. It has been completely restored and repolished with a buffer; it is in near new condition. Its light honey-brown color captures the light very nicely and its relative lightness allows it to be moved according to your decorative moods.
