Large painting by Master enameller FJ Carmona, winner of the Grand Prix des Beaux Arts de Limoges.
The enamel painting on curved copper sheet depicts a hamlet nestled in the hollow of a meandering river where a boat is moored, with a mountainous landscape in the background.
It is an autumnal landscape in the very soft reddish-brown tones that have made FJ Carmona's studio famous.
There is a beautiful unity of composition because even the buildings adopt the surrounding colors in the ochre light of a setting sun that gives golden reflections to the river.
The execution is very fine and very precise. The work is signed lower right.
The thick dark brown and black frame fits perfectly with the composition. It is in good condition, we note just 2 small dents so minimal that no photo can show them.
