Magnificent Art Deco style pastel dated 1924 and signed lower right Jef van de Fackere (1879-1946). It represents a woman in evening dress, in an elegant parma dress. Jef van de Fackere was a Belgian painter and pastellist who was part of the Bruges school. He painted portraits, still lifes, flowers, fruits and interiors. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bruges with Pierre Raoux and Edmond Van Hove. From 1904 to 1926, he participated continuously in the annual exhibition of the Bruges Artistic Circle.
