Bust in biscuit porcelain, on a fluted column base gilded with fine gold. It represents Madame Récamier, after the work of Joseph Chinard (circa 1805). Work from the early 19th century, unsigned. It is probably a production of the Niderviller Manufactory. Juliette Récamier is known for the very brilliant salon she held in Paris from the Directory to the July Monarchy and also for her great beauty. Beautiful collector's item, very evocative of the atmosphere and decoration at the beginning of the 19th century, under the Empire and the Restoration. in excellent condition: no chips, no accidents, no wear to the gilding.
