Napoleon: Porcelain Statue

Porcelain statue of Napoleon inspired by the famous painting by the French painter David* and entitled: “Bonaparte crossing the Great Saint Bernard (Alps)”. Napoleon, 1st consul, is in the uniform of a general-in-chief with his legendary cocked hat and armed with a Mamluk-style saber. He rears his horse and guides the troops across the Alps during the 2nd Italian campaign. Italian polychrome porcelain (Capodimonte?) Very good condition. Signed on the terrace “AG” for Giuseppe Armani (Italian: 1935/2006).
