"Important Pair Of Tealight Holders In Gilt Bronze And Cut Crystal."
Important pair of neo-baroque style 2-figure tealight holders in gilt bronze and cut crystal. 1st part of the 20th century. Bases, on the principle of a column, representing 2 Renaissance-style figures leaning against 2 hollowed-out tree trunk ends (serving as flower girls). Circular base decorated with crossed ribbons and knotted laurel leaves resting on 4 square feet. Upturned bell-shaped glass in finely diamond-cut crystal and decorated on the edge with a molding decorated with leaves and bunches of grapes in gilt bronze. They carry the glass holders at the top and rest on a smooth terrace at the bottom. Very good condition. Very well-preserved gilding with some traces of very slight oxidation. Crystal without loss or chip.
Other photos on request. Possibility of combining this pair of tealight holders with a cup and/or in a 5-piece Table Centerpiece (see latest photos and Proantic ads).
