Midnight Blue And Gilded Bronze Fireplace Trim.
Elegant Louis XVI-style mantelpiece ornament in gilded bronze and midnight blue or kiln-blue earthenware in the Sèvres style. Clock from the second half of the 19th century, signed Richond*, on the dial and fitted with a blade-suspension movement signed A.D. Mougin**. Ovoid clock decorated with putti, garlands offoliage, and bouquets of flowers, resting on a stepped basewith spindle-shaped feet. Gilded dial with Roman numerals inenameled cartouches.
The clock is accompanied by two gilded and kiln-blue candelabras, each with seven lights.
Restoration work on one of the two candelabras; gilding touched up; signs of wear. The clock is in very good working condition (comes with two keys). Very good presentation condition.
