A distinguished antique pair of Samson porcelain figurines from circa 1850, portraying two beautifully attired 18th-century female street traders. Marked in blue underglaze by Samson, known for superb recreations of prestigious porcelain styles.
Height: 14.8 cm
Condition: woman in a scarf - previously she apparently had some objects attached to a metal belt, now there is nothing. On the left hand, which is behind her back, the tip of the thumb is chipped off, otherwise excellent antique condition. The paint, enamel and gilding are all in excellent condition. The woman in the hat - a piece of the hat is chipped off, otherwise all in excellent antique condition.
