Framed Oil On Panel
We are offering for sale this painting, oil on panel depicting an oval still life surrounded by a superb 18th century gilt wood frame. This painting is not old as we would think. It was created by a post-cubist painter born in 1949 by the name of Daniel MENA. For this work it is certainly a special order dated 1991 and signed by the author Daniel MENA. He was inspired by the master of the very old masters who painted still lifes in the 17th century. In any case, we must recognize that this contemporary painter is talented, moreover a book was made about him by a Parisian author and gallery owner by the name of Robert CROUZET, himself from the Loire department (42) like Daniel MENA.
