Massive Bronze Cup With Triton, Louis XIV Style, Allegory Of Water,

Here is a surprising and heavy object-sculpture, inspired by the fabulous fountains of Palace of Versailles, a composition of a beautiful, muscular bearded triton, with dark patina carrying on his shoulder, in a powerful gesture, a marine conch.

Very elaborate sculpture, cast from 5 screwed, chiseled elements, two patinas.
I saw two traces of restoration: raised arm pegged, barely visible, fixing of conch to tail redone: see detailed photo.
But I did not see any signature.
Work of a Parisian bronzier, 19th century, a superb object.
