Adam and Eve bronze relief circa 1950-60 - matte brown patina. Mounted on a wooden plaque. The son of a sculptor, he studied modeling in Tokyo with Fumio Watanabe from 1928. In 1939, he was selected for the Shinbunten (Exhibition of National Revival). From 1942, he worked for the Baseball Hall of Fame and the Sports Museum. In 1944, he changed his first name to "Bido." He created approximately 1,000 works during his lifetime, including public monuments (Kasugayama Castle, etc.) and numerous statues for temples.
