VERSAILLES LIVERY COAT, Restoration. 26283 Scarlet cloth coat closing at the front with three hooks at chest level, trimmed with seven wooden buttons covered with red-black-white embroidered fabric in the shape of a flower (Ø 2.3 cm). Front part trimmed on each side with four large buttonholes represented by the livery braid. Scarlet collar. Collar, front panels, facings and pockets as well as body knot and basques are trimmed with a brown livery braid framed by several scarlet and white checkered braids. Dark royal blue facings cut straight. Waist knot with two buttons. False horizontal pockets with three buttons, decorated at the top and bottom with three large buttonholes represented by the livery braid. Lined in dark royal blue cloth and ecru canvas marked with a pen "1816". France. Second half of the 19th century. Good condition, some moth holes and wear.
