Georg Adam Scheid Enamel Silver Box From The 1900s
Artist: Gerg Adam Scheid
This superb antique hinged oval box is in solid 900/1000 silver, milky white enamel on a guilloche background with a gold monogram medallion (MR?) on the lid, protected by a slightly domed glass. The gold monogram is placed on mother-of-pearl.
Green enamel line around the side of the lid. The body of the box is also milky white enamel with four compartments on a guilloche background, separated by smooth silver bands.
Inside, Austrian title hallmarks and GAS Master's hallmark of GEORG ADAM SCHEID in Vienna. Production period between 1882 and 1911, +900 mark. Superb goldsmith work.
In beautiful condition with two small, barely visible, non-through enamel chips and a few micro scratches from use.
