Repoussé Tin Jewelry Box, Dlg By Alfred Louis Daguet, Art Nouveau Period, Jugendstil
Magnificent jewelry box with a sloping lid, from the Art Nouveau / Jungendstil period, in the style of the works of Alfred Louis Daguet.
The wooden structure of this box, whose shape evokes that of a reliquary, is covered with hammered and embossed tin plates forming a decoration of mistletoe branches.
The plates are fixed to the wooden core by pretty flower-shaped rivets.
The box locks with a small ornate key, revealing when opened an interior lined with a floral patterned fabric.
Note some slight wear on the tin plates which are visible in the photos.
Weight: 730 grams.
