Artist: Michail Jampolsky
Very beautiful and solid finely chiseled metal box with classic antique patterns. The lid features a large bronze medal in the Art Nouveau style by the engraver Michael Jampolsky, born in 1874 in Ukraine, who studied with the great medallists Dupuis, Ponscarme and Rasummy in Paris. He produced various medals and other Art Nouveau plaques until 1913 and exhibited at the Decennial Exhibition of Fine Arts from 1889 to 1900.
The medal, partly slightly depatiated, depicts a young woman in a toga plucking a branch from a tree.
