Baluster pewter pitcher with flared foot, quarter-round goblet and two-bud thumb.
Stamped property mark: DH
Internal countermark with the city's coat of arms: eagle with columns.
Master's mark attributable to André GROSSE received as master around 1660 and appointed juror in 1693: crowned hammer / star / AG
Height: 20.8 cm.
Besançon, End of the 17th or beginning of the 18th century


Good condition, a small repair at the tip of the lid and a consolidated crack in the goblet are however reported
Early period piece, bearing a clearly affixed hallmark unpublished to this day.
These pitchers were the wine measures of the Ancien Régime, they are the central theme of many pewter collections.
