Very rare circular pewter syrup container with a long spout and a turned wooden handle with a beaded socket.
Control mark: crowned C / AVALLON.
Mark of Etienne SERGENT, master craftsman in 1769: crowned hammer / E.S / 1769.
Diameter: 16 cm. Length: 26.5 cm.
AVALLON (BURGUNDY), last third of the 18th century.
Very rare pharmaceutical or hospital item in very good condition; however, the handle is cracked in several places, visible in the photographs.
Beautiful natural patina, semi-dark and lustrous.
