A brass "offering" platter with a rounded rim wrapped around an iron stiffener, decorated in the center with a repoussé depiction of a radiant Virgin and Child standing on a crescent moon, holding a scepter.
The rim features a gadrooned frieze, and the side is adorned with two concentric series of stamped, repeating motifs.
Diameter: 36.5 cm.
Flanders or Germany, 17th century.
In very good condition.
Rare configuration for this type of production.
