18th Century Iron

Iron from the late 18th century. Post-Revolutionary period (1789-/1799). It could have been made later. Ember iron called boat due to its shape. The ventilation is bilateral, ensured by a frieze of Phrygian caps allowing its dating. The whole is made of wrought iron, the turned wooden handle is original. The closure is ensured by a spring hook. Classically, the closure was done with a rotating hook + ring. It is in a used condition. Heavy oxidation on the back part. See photos of details.
