Important Italian Majolica Covered Vase

Important covered vase in Neoclassical style in majolica of Italian origin. Circular in shape, it is topped with a lid surmounted by a pine cone resting on laurel leaves. The neck is decorated with a rotating decoration of fruits in high relief. Its upper part receives a rich decoration of interlacing and foliage in the Renaissance style. The circular belly decorated with deep grooves supports two handles from which large garlands of laurel leaves start. Each side receives a medallion decorated with an elegant female profile, one of which is in low relief. The whole rests on a leafy pedestal.
