Louis XIV-style Stool In Gilded Wood
An elegant, rectangular Louis XIV-style stool made of carved and gilded wood. Upholstered with a large cushion of striped silk taffeta in shimmering colors, it rests on four baluster legs joined by a sinuous, flowing X-shaped brace. The legs feature rich foliage decoration against a crisscross pattern background.
Good condition, with a warm patina on the gilding, traditional upholstery, and new fabric.
