In general, Nepalese rugs are a bit coarser and feature modern colorful patterns.Classic variations are based on the patterns of traditional Chinese rugs. The appearance of Nepalese rugs has been adapted over time to meet the demand of Western markets. Today, pastel colors and geometric patterns are found on these hand-knotted rugs.
