French School Circa 1820 : "landscape At The Factory"

French school around 1820/30: "Landscape at the factory" oil on canvas 24.5 X 33 cm, mounted by a marie-louise in a slightly damaged restoration frame 38 X 46 cm. "In its own juice", the work has been cut and folded on the right and upper sides, and presents old restorations. This landscape, characteristic of this period when artists such as Michallon, Dunouy, de Valenciennes, or Corot worked in his early works, is treated from a slightly dominant point of view giving a beautiful depth to the landscape punctuated by an aqueduct in the distance partially hidden by the smoke coming out of the chimney of a "factory", these first factories or manufactures where workers worked, perhaps a forge, tile factory or other... It is structured into several buildings around a courtyard and is dominated by a tall chimney, all under a magnificent gray and blue nuanced sky.
