Large and sumptuous Louis XIV style censer in solid silver, dating from the middle of the eighteenth century. It bears the Belgian guarantee mark for solid silver 834% from the period 1831-1868. The master's mark is that of Louis Wolfers, founder of the Brussels dynasty of goldsmiths of the same name which lasted until the end of the twentieth century. He was active in Brussels from 1847. Chains and censer are in perfect condition. The whole weighs 850 grams
