Here is a beautiful key, wrought iron as they were forged in France Middle Ages, and which was to open a cottage, or a chalet, closing with a solid wood lock applied on door, inside lined with metal stuck in wood, bolt forged.
Heart-shaped ring, harmonious, full rod ending on a point to center itself, open bit still Gothic.
Good condition, little corrosion, it is a pleasure to see the fine forging work that appears on every centimeter.
France, Late Gothic, provincial work. Origin: a collector from Nice, early period.
