Gilded bronze clock representing Diana the Huntress, goddess of hunting and the wild world. Louis XVI 18th century. Diana the Huntress is seated on the movement case, holding her bow in one hand and a bird in the other, and carrying a quiver on her back. The movement case is placed on a base delicately chiseled with foliage and decorated on each side with fluted scrolls decorated with asparagus. The white enamel dial signed "LJ Laguesse à Paris" indicates the hours in Roman numerals. It ends with a raised base decorated with a bas-relief representing a hunting scene animated by children. Original double-patina mercury gilding in very good condition, cleaned by our workshop. Original wire movement striking the hours and half-hours, operating with its key.
