pretty covered spice box, from acid-blackened pewter, inlaid over entire visible surface of a decoration of silver spangles, with a rich border on lid.
Inside: 2 compartments for storing spices..... A pretty shaped piece, quite rare to find!
Work from Deccan, Muslim part of India, under Persian inspiration, called "work from Bidri", quite sought-after objects, dating from 18th/19th century, Condition: quite good, as you can see, with some missing inlays....
