Superb and large copper jug, tin-plated intside, frustoconical body with hemmed bottom and top is dovetail mounted , spout taken on piece, hinged, stopper to protect milk well from flies, two strong forged copper handles are fit on body by riveted hearts. Domed lid, very waterproof, is hinged and has a thumb rest.
Given its large size, this milkmaid of approximately 5 liters must have belonged to a large farm, perhaps a chhese farm.
Good quality, beautiful appearance, and also good condition, only one or two small dents on the surface.
